ICEF is a scientific and research organization representing the bridge among postgraduates, post-doc researchers, distinguished professors from the University of Belgrade – School of Electrical Engineering (ETF), experienced engineers, and national and foreign industry. Advanced technological methods are being implemented with an original and systematic approach, providing innovative solutions for many scientific and industrial challenges. By implementing numerous scientific results, ICEF contributes to the development of new products, solutions, technologies, and services according to market demands.

ICEF operates as an open research, development, and innovation center, which, in addition to ICEF and ETF employees, engages associates with other profiles, enabling the formation of interdisciplinary teams aligned with the needs of individual projects. Projects are led by the teaching and research staff of the School of Electrical Engineering and the research staff of ICEF.
In 2025, ICEF had 92 associates, of whom 21 were employed by ICEF, 57 were associates engaged from the School of Electrical Engineering, and 14 were external associates from other institutions.
ICEF was founded by the University of Belgrade – School of Electrical Engineering (ETF). We collaborate with ETF’s laboratories and research groups, research and teaching staff, and include them in ICEF projects to create the best teams and results. ICEF research activities are supported by the Serbian Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovations. In 2024, ETF and ICEF received a special donation from the Miodrag Kostić Endowment, which included 17 fully equipped research centers within the newly established Palace of Science.

Since its founding, ICEF has participated in, or coordinated more than 350 projects. These projects included collaboration with national and international scientific, research, and innovation institutions, as well as partners from industry. Most of our commercial references are under NDA, some of them available upon written request. However, some hints of our competence we could provide. Recently, ICEF has been honored to collaborate with these partners and clients.

The scientific man does not aim at an immediate result. He does not expect that his advanced ideas will be readily taken up. His work is like that of the planter – for the future. His duty is to lay the foundation for those who are to come, and point the way.
