Coherent direct wideband localization

The project included the development of advanced techniques for the localization of radio sources relying on carrier coherence between the signals in the receiving channels of a distributed antenna system and direct localization of sources of radio and acoustic signals. Alignment of the channels in time and phase and inter-antenna distance measurement by signal processing was also performed in addition to the derivation of theoretical bounds on localization accuracy and quantification of the performance of the proposed algorithms by Monte-Carlo simulations. Experimental verification of the algorithms was done with off-the-shelf hardware (including USRP devices).
