Simulation of Hydraulic Cylinders and 3D Visualization in Real-time

Simulation tools are important in industrial environments because they allow engineers to test control concepts, system behavior and equipment interactions before applying them to real processes. This is especially valuable in complex production systems, where direct experimentation can be costly, difficult to repeat or limited by safety and operational constraints.

Within this project, a real-time simulator of industrial processes and processing equipment was developed, including basic simulation functionalities and a graphical environment subsystem. The project served as a proof of concept for the architecture of real-time simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing, as well as for the integration of these components into a functional system.

The simulator was applied in the simulation and development of a control system for copper casting processes. Project verification was later performed on a real casting process, using substitute liquids instead of the original working medium. In this way, the project demonstrated the potential of real-time simulation as a practical engineering tool for developing, testing and improving industrial control systems before full deployment in production conditions.
