Presentation of Palace of Science

At the School of Electrical Engineering, in the presence of representatives of the scientific and academic community, the Palace of Science was presented, the endowment of Miodrag Kostić and the first center for research and popularization of science in Serbia. The Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, prof. Dejan Gvozdić, member of the Board of Directors of the Miodrag Kostić Endowment and vice president of MK Group, Aleksandar Kostić, and Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Dr. Jelena Begović spoke about the importance of the Palace of Science and new research centers.

In the heart of the city, on an area of 5,500 square meters of the former headquarters of the Adriatic-Danubian Bank, the Palace of Science will be a place for creating new projects and cooperation, as well as for the promotion of science among young people. ETF will receive 19 research centers within the Palace of Science, among which is a center dedicated to ICEF research in the field of motion analysis. Scientific and research activities will take place in one part of the palace, while the other part of the space will be dedicated to bringing science closer to the public. Research centers in the fields of information technology, power engineering, acoustics, biomedical engineering, IoT systems, hardware and software signal processing, robotics and automation, telecommunications, photonics and applied mathematics, led by ETF professors will provide students of all levels of study, as well as professors, the best conditions for work and scientific research. On the other hand, educational, attractive and interactive exhibits, such as the planned planetarium, will be available to the public.
